June 30 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pmFree
It is two years since we last ran a fungi foray at Westgate Park but with the forecast of good rain over coming weeks we can expect to see fungal activity at last!
We will start with a brief talk about the role of fungi in ecology and some tips on identifying the sporing bodies (the mushrooms) then take a walk through the Park. We will make a record of what we see and send that to the iNaturalist and Atlas of Living Australia.
We will meet in the main carpark on Todd Road. Rug up and wear sturdy shoes. Bring a camera if you have one and a magnifying device is useful too.
Children are very welcome – they are excellent spotters!
Book here – numbers are limited to ~15.
