Westgate Biodiversity: Bili Nursery & Landcare has revegetated Westgate Park with 320 native plant species that once existed within 5km of Melbourne’s CBD – the Sandbelt Region.
Though not listed as threatened in Victoria, many have all but disappeared from inner Melbourne. (Ref Flora of Melbourne) This makes Westgate Park important in protecting this diversity.
